Enter the Windrush Voices Competition

Connect to your history. Remember their legacy.

Windrush Voices is a national youth competition by charity, Action for Race Equality (ARE).

It is open to young people, aged 10-18, whose relatives may have migrated to the UK between 1948 and 1971, principally from the Caribbean but also former Commonwealth countries.

ARE are running it to honour and capture the contributions and legacy of the Windrush Generation as the UK marks the 75th anniversary of the arrival of HMT Empire at Tilbury docks in 1948.

Visit the ARE website for more information: https://www.actionforraceequality.org.uk/windrush75-competition/education/

How to enter:

Whether it's oral storytelling, written narratives, poetry, artwork, or digital media such as short films or podcasts, ARE invites young people to connect with and creatively represent the experiences, struggles, and triumphs of the Windrush Generation and their descendants.

To enter, complete this form and submit your contribution. This may require you to upload documents or a link.
