Jamaicans in Britain: A Legacy of Leadership Book

Published by Editions Media Limited, BLACK HISTORY MONTH and WINDRUSH LEGACY publications, this beautiful coffee table book is a unique compendium of over 1000 names with more than 500 biographies of Jamaican trailblazers who came to Britain mainly between 1948 and 1973. Popularly known as the Windrush Era.

Jamaicans in Britain: A Legacy of Leadership includes a list of  Windrush passengers who boarded the ship at Kingston for that first voyage which docked at Tilbury in June 1948 as well as articles, photographs and commentary from some of the foremost Jamaicans in Britain of the past century. Profound heartfelt statements and anecdotes from people who deserve to be recognised for their contribution to British society make for compelling reading.
